Business Analyst InternThe Business Analyst Intern will support the analysis of business data, development of forecasting tools, and tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs). Working with Sales Management and cross-functional teams, the intern will help identify trends, document business processes, and prepare clear reports that support planning and decision-making.This internship is suited to a student who enjoys working with data, solving problems, and communicating findings. The intern will receive guidance from experienced team members and contribute to projects that improve business visibility and operational effectiveness.Key ResponsibilitiesCollect, organize, and review data from business systems and spreadsheets to support analysis and reporting.Assist with developing and maintaining forecasting models, dashboards, and KPI reports.Analyze trends, performance results, and variances; summarize findings for managers and other stakeholders.Help define KPI requirements, confirm data accuracy, and document reporting methods.Participate in meetings with Sales, Operations, Finance, and other teams; record decisions, requirements, and follow-up actions.Document business processes and help identify opportunities to improve efficiency, data quality, or reporting.Prepare charts, presentations, and written summaries that explain analysis in a clear, accessible way.Support special projects as assigned.QualificationsCurrently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Business, Business Analytics, Economics, Finance, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, lookups, charts, and pivot tables.Strong attention to detail and the ability to organize information accurately.Clear written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively.Preferred QualificationsFamiliarity with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Python, or other data analysis and visualization tools.Experience with forecasting, KPI reporting, or business process analysis through coursework, projects, or prior work.Experience with AI tools.Interest in sales, manufacturing, supply chain, or operations.Learning OpportunitiesThe intern will gain practical experience working with business data, developing forecasts and performance reports, communicating insights, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
