Internship Description The Communications Intern will support JAG-NM’s outreach and visibility by creating social media content, drafting program updates, and assisting with communications materials. Working with the Communications Director, the intern will turn program activity into content that supports recruitment, employer engagement, and statewide awareness. Key Responsibilities: ● Create and edit social media content ● Write short-form content (captions, highlights, updates) ● Organize and refi ne content from program staff ● Support scheduling and coordination of posts ● Assist with outreach materials (fl yers, one-pagers, digital content) ● Contribute to campaigns (events, internships, employer engagement) Learning Outcomes ● Professional communication and writing skills ● Digital content creation and brand alignment ● Exposure to nonprofi t and workforce development operations ● Experience managing tasks in a team environment Schedule: 20 Hours/week flexible Minimum Qualifications Enrolled in a degree seeking program at UNM, Enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters (Audit hours do not count), and if Work Study, you must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress.
